Maui Skymasters Big Air Kiteboarding Jump Party Girls Stats

Kite Beach Crew Presents: 1st Annual Skymasters Big Air Kiteboarding Jump Party

Maui, Hawaii : The local Kite Beach Crew, Maui ran an informal, just for fun, jump contest.  The conditions delivered with strong winds for 3 out of the 4 day time period, and of the 28 riders participating, many were boosting 40 ft plus!

ShadowBox rep, Casey Hauser, happened to be on Maui during the contest, gearing up for the release of their new 1.5 unit later this month.  After getting in touch with him, he stopped by and allowed us to demo a couple units to show people just what the device can do.

Beyond just a GPS unit, the ShadowBox, packed with additional sensors, can detect jump height, spin rotation, hangtime, 3D-distance traveled, G-forces, board-trim, and much more, all viewable in their 3D-playback software application RideTracker, and exportable to Google Earth.

To check out more about it, head to www.shadowboxlive.com, where you can download the software program for free and check out ride files from Kiteboarding, Wakeboarding, and Windsurfing.

Everyone was able to try the ShadowBox unit at least once, and recorded some massive jumps,
( many of which were personal bests), then they used the objective measurements from the box to decide the winners . Thanks to all the 28 riders who came out and threw down, there will be another again here on Maui soon!

You can get more info and veiw images and videos of the Party at the Skymasters Blog:
